NITROGEEZERS > Details and finish on this car are really outstanding!
When NHRA calls NHRR an "open air, interactive museum," this is what they are talking about! Everything works, and does it ever!
NITROGEEZERS > Love that early full-face helmet and the simple, straightforward design that carried over from the front-engined cars into the transitional early cars.
NITROGEEZERS > The third Ivo-dragster at the "Ivo-Nationals" was Guy Boucher's utterly fantastic combo of the car and display trailer that Ivo toured the country with from 1970-72. Truly a highwater mark in professional pride, showmanship and automotive art.
NITROGEEZERS > A full-length view of the untrailered Boucher restoration shows what breathtaking beauty in color, form and finish this car projects.
NITROGEEZERS > Everything on the car is polished to the nines! Make that tens!!!
NITROGEEZERS > Cowl art on the TV Tom fueler. As noted in our article, this was TV Tom's last front-engined car.
NITROGEEZERS > Low-angled view emphasizes the length of these last of the line cars, essential to keeping the nose down with the power gains and traction improvements then available.
NITROGEEZERS > A view down the National Trails Raceway quarter mile as Bill Tovlin pulls his nifty Bantam altered into the staging area.
NITROGEEZERS > This bull moose has been the the trademark figurehead for National Trails raceway since the early 1960's and adorned the original timing tower for many years. Supposedly a hunting trophy of track-builder Clark Rader, the durable icon still looks over the track from alongside the staging area, and you'll spot it in the background of many of our photos.
