NITROGEEZERS > Larry Steinegger is a regular participant at CHRR, but towed all the way from Arizona to participate at NHRR for the first time with the S&E fuel dragster.
NITROGEEZERS > Norb Locke's "Grandpa's Toy" typifies a Chassis Research dragster circa 1960. One of the first "kit" or ready-made dragster chassis available, cars like this were once ubiquitous.
NITROGEEZERS > The revitalized "204-ChiZler" car of Chris Karamesines setting up base at NHRR. Note the commonality in basic chassis to Locke's car in the previous photo.
NITROGEEZERS > How quickly things evolved, as this ten-year later version of Karamesines' AA/FD from the NHRA Museum so clearly illustrates.
NITROGEEZERS > A couple of other cars brought from the NHRA Museum included the "Sour Sisters" car of Safford-Gaide-Ratican (rear) and Larry Dixon's "Rattler." Both Safford and Dixon came to NHRR to drive these cars in the Cacklefest.

NITROGEEZERS > Rocky Pirrone's "Boss Hydro" is a faithful replication of the car his father raced as an A/GS under the same name. His match races against similar cars are hugely popular.
NITROGEEZERS > "Pandemonium" Barracuda rolls off the trailer for another NHRR appearance. One of the well-known "S/FX" racecars from the transition period between FX and full-fledged Funny Car, Cory Lee now drives it on crowd-pleasing exhibition and match race passes.
NITROGEEZERS > Bunky Bobo returned with his immaculate "Hemi Hurricane" Gasser that made its NHRR debut last year.
