NITROGEEZERS > Original RPM'S Car Club''s mortgage wagon. X-class Four Banger. Theclub borrowed money from a local bank to build the car. Hence: Mortgage Wagon.

NITROGEEZERS > Buzz Riley drove the Mickey Mouse Special . The car appeared in a car show during the NHRA Nationals in '56 and the crew furnished entertainment by singing the "Mickey Mouse Song"! The driver's helmet was fitted with a set of Mickey Mouse ears.

NITROGEEZERS > Larry Bouldin's four banger in pits. Trophy Bandit club member in foreground. They were originally The Bandits but name changed to avoid a "lawless" image! .

NITROGEEZERS > Larry Bouldin's four banger roadster. X class was well represented in Kansas City. Bouldin's car had an overhead valve conversion

NITROGEEZERS > Mortgage Wagon II built and raced by the RPM'S Car Club in Kansas City area. Ford 4-banger and rear axle on a Crosley chassis . That's the fuel tank strapped to the roll bar.! It was junk but it turned in the 14's.

NITROGEEZERS > Note license plate on RPM'S Car Club 4-banger dragster. It was fully licensed for the street and was often driven to the track.

NITROGEEZERS > i just realized that this picture of Cal Rice was taken at Santa Ana Drag Strip in California; not Kansas City! It was taken in 1955 when I made my first trip to the "left coast".
This car won T.E. at NHRA' Nationals when final races were held in Perryville, AZ a couple of months later.
