NITROGEEZERS > Ready to roll? Our four-day tour of NHRR begins about 30 miles east of here at National Trails Raceway
NITROGEEZERS > Arrival of the "Pilgrim" inspires thoughts about "thanksgiving" for another NHRR. Gene O'Connor towed "Pilgrim" in from Pembroke, MA to compete with the Geezer Gassers.
NITROGEEZERS > "Slick Willy" was another new entry we spotted on our pre-event pit tour. It's owned and raced by Harvey Nayman from Gasport, NY and competed in the Geezer Gasser category.
NITROGEEZERS > Al Chernik has attended previous NHRR's. Ever-crafty Wile E. Coyote keeps everything secure while Al is elsewhere. Meep-meep!
NITROGEEZERS > The Brown Brothers Gasser is an old original, attending this year's reunion as a display and Cacklefest car.
NITROGEEZERS > Al Bergler had his "More Aggravation" Comp Coupe set up early, next to the Smith & Goulet "Probe" now owned by Ed Golden which Al also refabricated.
NITROGEEZERS > A new addition to Al's stable this year is his latest effort, this reproduction of "Gang Green."
NITROGEEZERS > This car was raced by Larry Payne around SE Michigan in the mid-1960's before being acquired by Gil Kohn at Detroit Dragway for use as a house-owned match racer.
NITROGEEZERS > Overall view of "Gang Green" shows the exquisite craftsmanship and show-grade appearance associated with all of Bergler's work.
