NITROGEEZERS > Denver Schutz and Mark Hyla thunder past the tree in this close encounter of the third kind....make that third round. Schutz was obviously hurting some parts on the top end, but held it together to defeat Hyla with a 6.06 covering Hyla's 614. Give that man a ticket to the final!

NITROGEEZERS > Rick Williamson gets ready to face Brad Thompson in the other Round 3 Top Fuel pairing.

NITROGEEZERS > A lotta clutch dust as they pass the tree. Williams slowed unexplainedly around half track and pulled the chute early. Thompson goes to the final with this 5.98/6.38 win.

NITROGEEZERS > Claude Lavoie warps his slicks before facing Kin Bates in thieir semi-final encounter. Two very evenly-matched cars, but Bates would reset the event low e.t. at 6.34 on his pass, while Lavoie went backwards with a losing 6.44.

NITROGEEZERS > The other A-Fuel semi-final pairing had Mike Austin facing Bill Wayne. Austin got a big jump (.015/.136) and held on for the win, 6.35/6.36.
